THe Final Lesson (Epic Fantasy fight scene)
This scene was sound designed to carry the weight of that inevitability. Every element—footfalls in damp earth, restrained breaths, steel cutting air, and the forest itself—was built to reinforce tension before a single blade is drawn. Silence is treated as deliberately as impact, allowing the space between strikes to speak as loudly as the clash.
Designed for Hot Lunch Productions, this piece focuses on narrative-driven sound: not just selling action, but selling consequence.
Shift 2: Unleashed — Fan Sound Edit
This fan sound edit was a deep-dive into re-imagining the Shift 2: Unleashed trailer using only the provided raw assets. The challenge lay in balancing a limited and often uneven set of source materials while shaping a cohesive and cinematic mix entirely within Pro Tools.
Pacing was critical — every rev, impact, and transition had to lock perfectly to the tempo of the trailer’s edit to maintain its intensity. I focused on building rhythmic momentum through tightly-cut engine layers, transient control, and dynamic automation, emphasizing the trailer’s sense of speed and weight without overpowering the visuals.
The project became an exercise in precision editing, creative restraint, and pacing under constraint — proving how much energy and storytelling can emerge from disciplined sound design, even with limited source material.
Batman vs. Captain America — Sound Design Sample
A short, ten-second animated fight sequence packed with complex layering and fast-paced movement. The challenge was condensing a full cinematic mix into a brief moment — balancing impacts, cloth movement, and environmental cues while keeping clarity through rapid transitions.
All assets were custom-edited and mixed in Pro Tools, emphasizing rhythm, spatial contrast, and character weight. Every punch, block, and step needed to read instantly while still supporting the stylized animation’s energy.
